Employment and Job Skills Training

Some employers do not ask for a work permit, although most do. If you are looking for a job, check the community newspapers. Also, the best way to find a job is through the people you know. Build your own network - talk to people you trust. Ask at your church, temple, mosque or synagogue or join a cultural association.

For more information about employment resources or training in job skills please contact:

Michael DesRoches from the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty at 416-925-6939  or

Karen Dick from the Workers’ Action Centre at 416-531-0778 extension 225
