Note: Many of these agencies offer anonymous HIV testing. You may also call The Ontario AIDS and Sexual Health Information Line at: 416-392-2437 for other anonymous testing sites in your area. You do not have to give your name.

Clinics are required by law to report positive cases of sexual transmitted infections to Toronto Public Health. However, this information is kept private and confidential. Toronto Public Health may get in touch directly with the patient in order to make certain that they are receiving help, and that the patient’s sexual partners have been informed. This is solely to ensure public health and safety.

Service description:       Sexual health services to youth such as: testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health information, birth control, and referrals. Services are flexible to include those who are no longer youth but who face other barriers in the health care system. Staff have limited experience working with people who use AAC but have expressed willingness to extend services.

Eligibility:                               The Bay Centre for Birth Control is for women of child                  bearing age only (generally 16 to 50). We are open to women of all nationality, race or culture and can accommodate women with mobility issues such as wheelchair or scooters. We do not see students from abroad who are studying in Canada and have UHIP.

Service description:                   Offers a range of sexual and reproductive health services for women. Clinic staff will do a full health assessment and help you decide what are the best contraceptive choices for you. They will also answer any of your questions. All services are confidential and include counselling and referral services as well as physical exams and care. The Centre provides pregnancy testing as well as counselling and referrals for obstetric care. The clinic provides counselling for women with unwanted pregnancies and information about different abortion options. They also provide full medical care for women who choose to have an abortion, including post abortion follow up and counselling. The Centre can refer you to private gynaecologists or free standing abortion clinics.
You don't need a doctor's referral to visit the Centre, but it is wise to make an appointment using the phone number above. Drop-ins will only be seen if time permits.
