The CSPC-T is sponsoring a session to provide community-based employment and training organizations with an update on the activities of the Federal Voluntary Sector Advisory Committee on Employment. The Community Social Planning Council of Toronto is engaged in a strategic planning process to shape its work for 2007-2010. A critical aspect of that process is hearing what our communities feel should be our priorities for the next few years. We want you to be a part of that process – if you are interested, please contact mmary@cspc.toronto.on.ca, to receive additional information.

On March 28, the CSPC-T, in collaboration with six Ontario-wide organizations ETFO (Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario), OCASI (Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants), CERIS (Joint Centre of Excellence in Research on Immigration and Settlement), People for Education, OPSBA (Ontario Public School Boards Association) and the Social Planning Network of Ontario) hosted a forum on the Canada-Ontario Immigration Agreement. Six months later, what has happened? This forum will provide an opportunity to share information on the progress that has taken place, and to share strategies to better address the needs of newcomers.
