French Language Community Assistant

 

 

The Community Social Planning Council of Toronto (CSPC-T) is looking for a full-time summer student to provide research assistance for a national survey of food banks in Canada.  This position is funded through the Summer Career Placement program.  The successful applicant must be fluent in French, under the age of 30 and returning to full-time studies in September.

 

Responsibilities

·         Communicate in English and French, verbally and in writing, with food bank staff

·         Translate French-language survey responses

·         Maintain an Excel participant database

·         Act as a primary contact for French-language food banks

·         Provide general research assistance

 

Qualifications

·         Must be fluent in French, both verbal and written language

·         Must be under the age of 30

·         Must be returning to full-time studies in September

·         Excellent verbal communication skills

·         Well organized with an attention to detail

·         Basic computer skills

 

Wage:  $15.00 per hour

 

Contract:  Monday – Friday, 9-5 PM; starts early June to September 1
