MEDIA ADVISORY – Results of Toronto Civic Audit revealed at news conference, March 23

March 21 / A civic panel of elected officials and community leaders will release the results of a Toronto social inclusion audit March 23. The panel spent the past year collecting stories and reflections from individuals and groups on their experiences with social and economic inclusion in the city.  
 
A report profiling the results of an extensive participatory research process contains 31 recommendations challenging policy makers and residents to enhance civic democracy and leadership equity strategies.
 
The research was conducted by the Community Social Planning Council of Toronto. The Toronto report is one of five being released simultaneously by Inclusive Cities Canada, a cross-Canada initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of cities to create and sustain inclusive communities.
