The Ontario Provincial Election is coming up - do you know who you want to vote for?
On October 10, 2007, your vote is important in determining who will represent your interests at the provincial level. We asked TCHC residents, and these are some of the issues that you considered important - ask your local candidates what their positions are on these issues, and make your choice carefully!

Social Housing
Q. Do you support building affordable housing to end homelessness?
Q. Do you support funding for repairs to TCHC buildings?
Q. Do you support the uploading of TCHC back to the Province?

Income Supports
Q. Do you support increasing the minimum wage to $10 immediately, and adding cost-of-living increases?
Q. Do you support increasing social assistance rates, and adding cost-of-living increases?
Q. Would you vote to increase the National Child Benefit Supplement?

Immigrants and Refugees
Q. Will you ensure that ESL funds are sufficient and that school boards use them properly?
Q. How will you end discrimination against newcomers in the job market?

Children
Q. What will you do to reduce child poverty?
Q. How will you improve early learning and child care?
Q. Do you support full funding of our educational system to ensure high quality education
for Ontario students?
