Toronto Climate Action Network and Climatefast invite you to this workshop on how to speak up for climate action and the TransformTO Net-Zero Strategy in the upcoming City Budget hearings (Jan 22 & 23).
As the climate and affordability crises worsen, councillors need to know that we want them to fully fund the Net-Zero strategy so that we can reduce harmful emissions, grow the green economy, and advance equity across all sectors - housing, transit, active transportation infrastructure, local renewable energy, green space, and more.
We will hear from Councillor Alexandra Bravo on the budget process and the importance of public deputations. Experts from Toronto Environmental Alliance will share their analysis of the budget and its implications for the City's Net-Zero Strategy. Participants will also receive tips on how to depute.
Let's make sure that this City Budget invests in building a just and sustainable future for all!
