Description: There are many ways to advocate for community safety and contribute to systemic change in your neighbourhood. This workshop will use examples from successful campaigns and grassroots movements to introduce you to various strategies and tools that will help get your community heard by decision makers in all levels of government. We’ll also share tips on how to make a compelling deputation (a short speech about an issue your community cares about) to government committees and boards.
