How to Manage Your Budget - Afternoon Session

Whether planning for a community event or starting up your own non-profit initiative, managing your grant money in critical to the success of your work. In this workshop, participants will be learning basic budgeting skills such as learning to track their spending and how to monitor and update their cash flow. With the use of excel and other free tools, participants will create their own cash flow statements and a system to practice basic bookkeeping principles.
Facilitator: Akhil Gupta is an entrepreneur and the Co-Founder of Drop Technologies.  He believes the evolution of technology and current entrepreneurial spirit can change the world for the better. Akhil is an innovator and business builder who has travelled to 30+ countries and 50+ destinations, learning from each global experience and broadening his mind, understanding of people, and business. 

Previously, Akhil worked his way up to become an Assistant Manager at Deloitte where he earned his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation and was a Senior Analyst at a consumer products good company involved in the $1.8B sale of the company and improving profitability. Akhil graduated from the University of Toronto where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and was the Co-Chair of a national undergraduate business competition.
