While people generally expect that our education system will level the playing field for disadvantaged students, does this actually happen? Unfortunately, as numerous studies show, racialized and low-income students are over-represented in non-academic streams in high school. As a result, too many face limited futures, and lack the foundation they need to grow to their full potential.

The Coalition for Alternatives to Streaming in Education (CASE), in partnership with Social Planning Toronto, is inviting you and other community stakeholders to a special session on April 27 to share ideas on this important issue. How can we work to bring about real change and make things better? What can we do, together, to end the inequities of streaming in schools across Toronto and beyond? We value your input and participation.

Lunch will be served.
