The Community Social Planning Council undertook to conduct a ‘scan' of available information on anticipated inflation rates and changes to income for the coming three years (2008-2011), to support organizations in planning for budgeting and funding proposals.

The information provides some of the extremely limited information available regarding recent, current, and projected inflation rates and trends in salaries for Ontario. Very few institutions are making projections past 2009, and the impact of the current financial crisis on these figures is uncertain. This information may provide you with some information regarding past and current trends, and offers a range of projections which may be useful in anticipating cost increases over the next two to three years.
