In this interactive workshop, we will cover the foundations of running a great event in your neighbourhood.
You will leave this session with the following:
- Templates, including an event planning checklist and donation letter
- An event planning toolkit
- Skills and knowledge to plan high impact events
- Sources of funding for grassroots events
- Connections to other groups funded by the Neighbourhood Grants program
Facilitator: Luisa Giacometti is a two-time recipient of the City of Toronto Neighbourhood Grants. She is an active volunteer in her community, and is co-chair of the Falstaff Table and the Rustic Community Network. Luisa has vast experience putting together successful local programs and events, hosting events/conferences and facilitating workshops.
Dinner, 2 TTC tokens and childcare for kids more than 3 years of age will be provided. When you register, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or need any other support such as childcare. It would be helpful to know the number of children you will be bringing and their ages.
