As part of the Gender Equity Consultations, SPT is hosting this group discussion to consider how gender discrimination is embedded within the City structure and distribution of funding. Together we’ll explore recommendations to address disparities, and further realize gender-responsive budgeting.

This conversation will cover topics including but not limited to:

• What does intersectional gender-responsive budgeting look like? How can it address issues of racism, reconciliation, ableism, heteronormativity, and more?
• What are accountability mechanisms are needed to ensure budgeting is gender-responsive?
• How/Can the existing equity-responsive budgeting process in Toronto further advance/prioritize intersectional gender equity?

The discussion will last approximately 2 hours, be held in English, and use Zoom virtual conferencing with closed captioning. The Zoom details will be sent one day before the session.
