Organizational members demonstrate their support for Social Planning Toronto's mission, vision, and values. As an organizational or agency member* you contribute to advocacy for fairer public policies, support relevant and focused social and community research, share information and expertise across our communities, and mobilize residents and leaders to improve equity, inclusivity, and quality of life in our city.
Organizational members are entitled to notice of and one vote at member meetings and at the Annual General Meeting. Members will also receive our mailings and updates about our work.
* Agency Member: agency member class membership shall be available only to such body corporate, partnership, trust or unincorporated organization that has applied for and has been accepted into agency member membership in the Corporation by resolution of the Board. Each agency member is entitled to receive notice of, attend and vote at all meetings of members of the Corporation and each such agency member shall be entitled to one vote at such meetings. (SPT Bylaws, October 2020).

The SPT Bylaw (October 2020) requires that agency and individual members be accepted into membership by resolution of the Board. Depending on the Board meeting schedule, there may be some delay in confirming individual and organizational memberships.
Membership applications received 10 days before a Members meeting, including the AGM, will receive notice of the meeting.
