The City of Toronto is pleased to announce the release of Request For Proposals (RFP No.9155-09-7107) to help implement the Youth Gang Prevention Pilot Project (YGPPP).
The project is a three (3) year pilot that will focus on increasing awareness of the risk factors associated with youth gangs and provide support to gang involved and youth at-risk for gang involvement in the northwest area of Toronto. The YGPPP will strengthen protective factors by working collaboratively with parents, schools and the community to provide the maximum possible intervention strategies for neighbourhood youth. The project is administered by the City, and is partially funded by Public Safety Canada's National Crime Prevention Centre.
The purpose of this RFP is to select one (1) qualified Proponent to fully implement the services described in the RFP as a part of the YGPPP. Experienced community-based organizations and partnerships of community-based organizations are encouraged to respond.
You can find this RFP on the City's Purchasing website at www.toronto.ca/tenders under Professional Services. All questions must be addressed to Victor Tryl in the City's Purchasing and Materials Management Division, at [email protected] or 416-397-4801.
The deadline for Proposals is August 19, 2009.
There will be a voluntary Information Session to explain the RFP and to answer any questions on Friday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Toronto City Hall, 100 St. W, Committee Room 4.
